"Babysitting"

On Wednesday Tiago had a bouquet of Kara's favorite flowers (tiger
lillies) delivered here. That was only one among the million neat
things he did for her that day. Anyway, yesterday they took the train
to California for Eva and Malone's upcoming wedding. So I get to
babysit the bouquet! My job is to water it each day and take a photo
to send to Kara. She almost canceled her Caifornia trip to stay home
and watch the daily blooming explosion. :-) But since she's maid of
honor, I get the privilege instead! The first pic is the day they
arrived. The second is today. Many more blooms are open!

Oops!

Kara and Tiago are snowboarding in Santa Fe today. They have the car,
so I took the Lomas bus home so I only had to walk 1/2 or 3/4 of a
mile to my place. Since the bus went right by Target, I thought I'd do
my shopping for the baby shower I am going to tomorrow. At first I
picked out clothes and a small toy since that would be easy to take
home on the bus and the walk. I mistakenly picked out the wrong toy.
So I started completely over and forgot about the bus and the walk!
You can see I ended up with something considerably larger and heavier!
I am
glad I have strong arms. I am also glad a nice man on the bus had pity
on me. It was standing room only in the bus. I'm home. All is well!

Emery had a blast traveling here yesterday. As you can see she looks
like an accomplished traveler now! This morning Adalyn and I are the
only ones awake. She loves looking at my Christmas lights!
