Leaving Minnesota

What a fantastic 5 days I have had!! The missions conference exceeded
my expectations. I am so glad I came. Once it was over I had a grand
time visiting relatives. I saw cousins - Jane, Carol, Jeff, Dale,
Shari and Katie. I stayed with Aunt Ethel and we visited Aunt Pearl. I
am glad I got to connect with so many!

Ethel was a delightful hostess! We got in lots of conversation and
game playing. Fun memories!

The photos are of the view from Ethel's place before we left. Now I am
at the airport for the first leg of my flight. I will get to
Albuquerque shortly after noon and hope to have lunch with my sweet
friend Shari.

Two beauties!

Emery got her face painted like a butterfly at an event Awaken Church
was at this weekend. One of the ladies at Awaken is quite talented
with face painting! And Addy would love to be crawling. From the looks
of it she is trying to figure it out! She will be 6 months this coming
Sunday. My how time flies!

Lilacs!

My bush did not perform too well after all. You can see it in the
second picture. Maybe it will do better next year - I may never know
if I am in Clarksville like I hope to be by then. The top photo is the
gorgeous bouquet my wonderful friend Cezanne gave to me. Her bushes
did great! You can see from the last 2 photos it is a great year for
lilacs. Most of the bushes around town are absolutely covered with
blossoms. Oh joy! Makes for pleasant smelling and sight seeing
wherever I happen to be going!

Nice day

I should have done before and after photos. But this is the result of
my study breaks today. I studied 2-3 hours at a time and then did
weeding, raking and rose bush pruning in short stints in between.
That made for a very productive day!!
I planted two tomato plants beside my lilac that is still in a pot.
That lilac will go to Tennessee with me! I am hoping my thumb is green
enough to produce some home grown tomatoes this year. That would be a
treat.
The rose bushes are quite small now. Hopefully they won't be mad at me
for trimming them back so much. And my lilac is closer to blooming
each day. Can hardly wait! I'll have to sit in my backyard and inhale
the beauty once they bloom.
Now, I must get some things done toward the Brazil trip. If I can get
enough done, my reward will be to watch Castle at 9pm. :-)
