Shoes

I guess it was about time. Seven years ago - yes 7 years - I bought my  first pair of Dansko clogs. I have worn them nearly every day since.  There is a crack in the sole and the leather looks quite worn. I  bought them online for half price ($60) in 2002.  I guess that means 7 1/2 years ago! Well I just ordered new ones in a cute style (see for  yourself in the pic) also at half price ($60). How about that - the  price has remained the same for 7 years! I figure that works out to less than $10 per year for the best pair of shoes I have ever had on  my feet. Can't complain about that! So it may be 2017 or 2018 before I  need another pair!

Cinderella and Prince Charming

Cinderella (or Cinder-Kara) got quite a surprise last night when I told her with a very firm expression that she better start pulling her weight around the house and do the long list of chores I had for her to do. She looked shocked. I had to escape the house fast so I did not laugh and give it away. I drove to a different parking area and decorated decorated the car to be Cinderella's carriage. She kept me posted by text on her progress cleaning. I had her really worried! Finally her fairy godmother (friend Rebekah) showed up and rescued her. She helped her get dressed in the Cinderella dress I had made for her this weekend while she was in TN. She was a little sad that all she had was flip flops to wear with her dress. Once she was ready she went to her carriage and drove to the park she was told to go to. Prince Charming (Prince Ti-arming) was waiting with beautiful 'glass slippers' and an engagement ring! She laughed and cried and screamed YES!!! when he asked her to marry him. After dinner they came back to house to tell me all about it. Below is the first photo of the engaged couple. I think they look very happy! So I suppose we will start wedding planning and dreaming soon!
